How does a community remember a historically and culturally significant area of their city which has literally been bulldozed to dust? In order to recall the real which no longer exists as bricks and mortar the New Zealand Historic Places Trust have created the www.highstreetstories.co.nz website and app. These digital media provide portals of recollections and images as well as the magical time travel of City View AR (augmented reality).

Zoe Roland has made social history documentaries for film festivals, radio and cultural institutions. Capturing good yarns and sincere insights make her day. Zoe is currently employed by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust in Christchurch where her role entails developing projects which engender an appreciation of built heritage.
